It's Christmas, stop hiding.

Hiding is an art form.

The older we get the better we are at hiding in plain view.

I'm mad, but I'm smiling.

I'm in pain, but I'm styling.

I'm lonely and used, but I won't dare look confused.

I'm obsessed and stressed, but no worries - I WILL keep this thing together.

The Christmas story is the end to a multi-millennial game of hide and seek.

In the Garden of Eden, man went hiding.

In an instant, God came seeking.

And then in plain view, in a manger - heralded by angels and eye-witnessed by shepherds...God, Himself, arrived.

"Peace on earth," the angels proclaimed.

But we can't hear it, because our lives are in pieces.

Well, listen to this:

Jesus came near,

Peace is here,

Let go of fear,

Come out of hiding

And get your hind parts in gear

Time's a wasting.

One day the Baby in the manger will return, but until that day for every believer:

  • There's more to see.

  • There's more to do.

  • There's more to be.

Let's spend this Christmas inviting Jesus into our hearts and homes and inviting outsiders in.
